Basic Refrigeration

DescriptionA basic refrigeration cycle will be established, all components will be identified, their functions alone and together will be covered as follows:

  • ·         Common refrigerants used
  • ·         How to hook up and use services gauges
  • ·         What to look for under normal operation
  • ·         Troubleshooting a system
  • ·         A detailed look at components
  • ·         Electrical components – normal operation and troubleshooting
  • ·         Small mini-quizzes will be given as well as a final exam
 Dates / TimesThis class will be held Monday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.   Call Local 70 offices for dates of classes and registration.
 
Location: Classes will be held at the Local 70 office at: 2417 Larpenteur Avenue West, St. Paul, MN – one block east of Hwy 280 & Larpenteur – corner of Larpenteur and Eustis
 
CostTuition for the class is $150.00 for International Union of Operating Engineers members and $200.00 for non-members. This fee includes books; students are responsible for supplying own pencil and paper.
 
 
Tuition Reimbursement: Check with your employer for possible tuition reimbursement.
 
Minimum of eight paid registrations by deadline
